Our Cubs had a great – if sometimes soggy – weekend in Larch Hill this June Bank Holiday and were a credit to the unit in every way. We were lucky with the weather til Saturday night, all our water bases took place in full and beautiful sunshine. By evening, however, the elements conspired against us, but our cubs are a hardy lot and got stuck into their activities Sunday despite the rain and went on to win the Spirit of the Sub Camp for the second year in a row.
Larch Hill Cub Weekend continues to be a great annual event, our thanks in particular to Seimí (now forever to be known as Mama Crab) for his help.
p.s Some of our Venture Scouts headed up for a weekend of hard work and did a great job on staff, thanks guys!
