The scout section are heading off to Tralee on Thursday 26th June for 4 days for their annual camp. The scouts are looking forward to taking part in many planned activities. There are a total of 8 scouts travelling, 3 of the older scouts are heading to London for their annual camp with the venturer and rover sections in July.
Cubs, Scouts and Ventures had a great night at Fossett’s Circus last Friday, April 19th in Tullamore. We’d like to thanks and recommend Fossett’s to everyone, there’s plenty to entertain, mystify and astonish everyone for a great night out 🙂
Thanks to everyone who played a part in the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Colour Party, it’s a great tradition going back a long time in Clara and it’s great to see it every year.
The Scout section are currently preparing for a weekend trip to the Log Cabin in Kinnitty during the first week in March. Meal planning and route cards are underway as are other planned activities. All we need now is the weather.
The scout section annual camp took place in July in Ballyshannon, Donegal for 4 nights. 7 scouts travelled and took part in a wide range of activities including horse riding, a trip to the Marble Arch Caves, hike from Ballyshannon to Rossnowlagh beach, body surfing and night hikes. The scouts also spent a relaxing afternoon at the Bundoran fair ground. On the way home the scouts stopped off for Boda Borg for team building. A great time was had by all.
The scouts have now returned and began preparations for the year ahead. On Thursday the 13th the scouts said goodbye to one of the members Paul Lanier who is heading off to Australia, we would like to wish Paul and his ma Laura the very best of luck. The group would like to welcome new members Ciara Delaney and Rory Dunne to the section, all are looking forward to a fun filled weekend in the log cabin on the the 12th of October.
